Dr. Draper delivered both myself and my sister in Lafleche in 1972 and 1975, respectively. He was our Family Doctor in Lafleche (and later Gravelbourg) until we moved from the area. We fondly remember him as a very wise, skilled, funny, and compassionate doctor, one who could not be beat when it came to dealing with children and animals! In recent years, I read his book "Prairie Doctor" and wrote him a fan letter. I was very happy that he responded with another copy of his book, this one autographed with a kind message inside. We then became pen pals through both paper and email, which I really enjoyed. He always expressed interest in my nursing career and thought very highly of the profession. Sending condolences to Dr. Draper's family, friends, colleagues, and former patients. Who better to have brought so many of us into the world?
