Obituary of Ruth Forsythe

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth Forsythe on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at the age of 95 years. Ruth was born and raised in Coronach, Saskatchewan, the youngest of 5 children. She married her husband Earle in 1947 and brought up her four children, Dennis, Ray, Joanne, and Barry in Craik and then in Regina, Saskatchewan. Kamloops became her home in 1969 where they loved the warmer winters and the many lakes and camping opportunities. 

Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her children Ray (Mae), Joanne, and Barry (Michèle); grandchildren Tara (Brad), Ryah (Chris), Seonaid (Jeff), Bree (Mike), Hilary (Adrian), Kristin (Chad), Kimberly (Adam), Jillian (Josee), and Brian (Shannon); as well as 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Ruth was predeceased by her husband Earle in 1988; son Dennis; daughter-in-law Leah; son-in-law Barry; as well as her siblings Dorothy, Lucille, Richard (Dick), and Roger; and parents Blanche and Arthur Mitchell.

Ruth spent most of her years in Kamloops, until 2017 when she moved back to Regina to be close to her daughter Joanne.

A memorial service will be held on May 27, 2023 in Kamloops, BC.
