Bernice Randall

Obituary of Bernice Margaret Randall

It is with great sadness that the family of Bernice announce her passing. On Saturday, February 4, 2023, Bunnie passed away peacefully in her sleep after a short illness at her home at the Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home in Regina, SK, at the age of 85 years.

Bunnie was predeceased by her parents, Richard Dodd and Mary (Winters) Dodd; brother, Doug (Lillian) Dodd; and sister, Lulu (Bob) Hoffman.  She is survived by her loving children, Leslie (Jerry) Randall, Carol (Franc) Randall, Doreen (John) Phillips and Gary (Jayne) Randall; seven grandchildren, Meagan, Ryan, Joel, Nicholas, Lahra, Jamie (Brendon) and David; five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a few cousins.

Bunnie was born in Borden, SK. After her mother’s death she moved to Brandon, MB with her sister, while her brother moved to Lumsden, SK, to live with extended family. Eventually the family reunited in Unity, SK before eventually moving to Saskatoon. Bunnie attended City Park High School in Saskatoon, where she was active in many clubs and sports and where she met and later married Wayne Randall. They lived in Saskatoon for a short while and then moved to Swift Current and then finally to Regina. When the marriage ended, Bunnie began working outside of the home and worked as a bank teller, data entry processor, and security guard.

Bunnie enjoyed being outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. Bunnie took pleasure in art and dabbled in painting. Her pieces are proudly hung on family walls. She was an avid reader and was never without a book on the go. Bunnie loved playing all kinds of card games. She loved a challenge and she played to win.

To honour Bunnie’s wishes, there will be a small private family celebration of her life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to dementia or cancer research in her name would be welcomed.
