My sincere condolences to you Terry and your family. I was your babysitter in Sandy Lake when you were but a tiny new born. I was able to renew acquaintances in later years when you were superintendent of schools and I was a trustee in River East SD. I remember your family very well. May memories made sustain you during these most difficult times. Rest in Peace Mrs. Borys.

I’ve only know Rose during the last season of her journey. Her smile from the first moment I saw her and every smile after was the most beautiful and genuine. I remember her laughing so hard correcting my attempts to name body parts in Ukrainian and joking about sneaking a dinner bell in the condo to keep Terry on his toes. As a health care worker I felt blessed to be welcomed into their home and be treated like part of the family. Goodies and plates of food always offered with smiles even during stressful times. I’ll miss you momma .

I fondly remember many dinners with Rose her great sense of humour & yes great cooking Easter was especially fun as she tried to teach me how to say ‘Christ Has Risen’ in Ukrainian—- my apology here as I made it sound like ‘ C is a dishcloth’….then she’d pull my hair!!!!!

Our opportunities to interact with Rose Borys were always enjoyable because she was a person with profound interest in others around her. Bob and I extend our wishes that the family members who have experienced her passage over the rainbow bridge are sustained, and comforted by the compassion of friends. We extend love and empathy to her surviving son, who has walked a challenging journey with such commitment to her care and dignity.
