Obituary of Greig Robert Thomas Manwaring

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Greig on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at the age of 78, with his family by his side.

Greig was predeceased by his parents Archie and Betty Manwaring; his son Kelly; in-laws Ivan and Mabel Bowes, Isabel; his sister Erin Sali; his in-laws Allan Bowes, Melvin Burback, Harvey Sali and Jean Prysliak.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda; son Kevin (Bev); grandchildren Hannah, Joshua and Addison; and daughter Lori Clark (Rob); and grandchildren Haley, Jase and Grady. He is also survived by Eileen Burback (Vic Yaciuk); Nadine Bowes; Lorne and Judy Bowes; Brian and Anne Bowes; Don and Donna Bowes; Ray Prysliak (Sharon); and many nieces and nephews.

Greig took his schooling at Connaught School and Sheldon-Williams. He worked for the Department of Highways, Material and Research branch for 34 years.

He loved golfing, curling and was blessed to play in the Brier in 1977 in Montreal. He loved watching the grandkids play in their many sports and took in as many games as he could. His family meant so much to him.

At Greig’s request, there will not be a funeral. His ashes will be laid to rest at a later date.
