Obituary of Robert Murray Lawrence

We are saddened to announce the passing of Rob Lawrence. Rob died peacefully at home on the night of February 13, 2023.  He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Dora (Taylor), and his brother, Peter.  He is survived by his wife, Betty (Paterson), and children and grandchildren, Kathy and Jes, and Paul, Laura (Hunstad), Kaylee and Connor.

Rob was a loving and kind father, grandfather, and friend.  He had a passion for music and loved playing his guitars.  He loved hearing and telling stories, and took great pleasure in meeting and learning about people and their lives.  He was always available to help those around him with whatever they needed. We know so many people who will miss Rob, and that there are many more we never met who will miss him as well.

We want to thank the members of the Regina Area medical teams who took such good care of him and gave us all the gift of having him with us for the last four years.  At Rob’s request, there will be no Funeral.  If you would like to commemorate him, he liked small indulgences.  Treat yourself in some special way – play a great song, add some whipping cream to your coffee order, pick up a great book, or raise a glass of a favourite vintage in a toast to his memory.  His interment at Regina Beach will take place at a later date.
