Obituary of Elaine Carol Crossman (Spurrier)

Elaine passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday February 18,2023. She was predeceased by her son, David; and parents, Doreen and Ken Spurrier.  Elaine will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Carolyn (Mark) Payne; her grandchildren; David’s children, Jamie (Cody) Vogt and David Crossman (Kami Fortier); Carolyn’s children, Mackenzie (Josh) Senger, Morgan Hillbom (fiancée Miguel Kukura), and Brandon Hillbom; special great-grandsons, Wyatt and Hunter Senger; sister Joan Giles; brother Stan Spurrier; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Elaine grew up at the family farm near Abernethy, raised her family in Davidson, where she started her career with Canada Post at the Davidson post office.  Elaine continued her career with the post office in Grenfell and White City where she met many lifelong friends.  She was a director and vice president for  Canadian Postmasters and Assistants Association. Elaine was a voracious reader- you could always catch her with a book in her hand, she enjoyed watching curling, spending time with family, and being at her special place, the cabin at Mistusinne.  Elaine had a love for travel and enjoyed sharing this with her family and friends.  G-ma was the glue that held the family together, the person to turn to when things got tough, and was always there when you needed a friend. 

A celebration of life will be held at Speers Family Centre 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 1:00pm.
