“Yellow Bird Woman”
April 3, 1966 – February 24, 2023
Janet Lynn Wesaquate, “Yellow Bird Woman”, was called home to the Creator on February 24th, 2023 at the age of 56 years of age. Janet was predeceased by her grandparents, Blanche and Remi Crowe and paternal grandparents, Michael and Cora Pelletier; parents Helen Wesaquate (nee Crowe) and Wilfred Pelletier; her lifelong companion Michael Sangwais; siblings William (Biscuit) Crowe and Terry Ancuta. Janet is survived by her loving sons Evan Wesaquate and Aaron (Tamara) Wesaquate and Joshua Wesaquate. Siblings Elaine Lavalee, Myra Panteluk, Patrick, Wade, Lorraine (Istvan), Loriliee, Dwayne, Susan, Kim (Alex), Curtis and April (Darren). Janet was a devoted grandmother to Adesina, Gina, Nova and Naori.
Janet loved all her nephews and nieces. She loved her sons whole heartedly and her life was devoted to her grandchildren.
Wake services will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street at 4:00 p.m. on March 1, 2023.
Celebration of life will be at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street at 11:00 a.m. on March 2, 2023.
Burial at Piapot First Nation.
