Obituary of Roma Inglis

Roma lived a long and happy life and had seen more changes in this world, than most of us will ever experience. The tales she could tell.

She was born and lived most of her life in Regina. Roma was predeceased by her husband John Inglis (2007) and her son Bill Inglis (2020). She is survived by her son Dr. Jim Inglis (Carolyn); her granddaughter Amanda Inglis and children Austin, Autumn, Ali and Ayanna; and her grandson Matt Inglis (Lindsay).

Her love for her family and friends was always foremost. Her love of all animals continued throughout her life.

At a younger age, long before computers, Roma spent a half hour everyday talking on the phone to her mother Marion Yarnton and then a half hour to her sister Betty. This ritual lasted for years and kept our family close and united.

She loved her sons, and adored and cherished every moment she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Roma and John spent many years operating Yarnton Decorating and after retirement, traveled the world visiting South Africa, Russia, India, China, Japan, Europe, England and the USA.

Roma and John adored the arrival of their grandchildren and spent hours enjoying their company. Later her great-grandchildren also fulfilled much of her life while living in Indian Head.

Roma was an avid crossword, crib and bridge player, right into her 100’s and beyond. Grammar was her speciality.

Roma lived an amazing 108 years and passed away peacefully in the Golden Prairie Home at Indian Head, close to her loving granddaughter Amanda.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Golden Prairie Home for their years of friendship and dedication.
