Obituary of Dorothy Lynnette Tobias

Lynn passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the age of 77 years. She was born on May 3, 1945 in Regina, SK and grew up in Lajord, SK. Lynn attended school there and finished her high school at Luther College. She became a Psych nurse in 1968 and an R.N. in 1970. Lynn worked at many places including Weyburn Psych hospital and Regina General Hospital. She married Toby in 1972. In 1997, they owned and operated a senior care home, retiring in 2005. They lived in Swift Current, Moose Jaw and Regina.

Lynn loved her family and took pride in all her children. She leaves behind her husband Toby; son John and his wife Sheila; daughter Nancy and her partner Chad; and her son Quenton;  her much loved grandchildren Alex and Nicole;  her brother John and his wife Georgett; as well as many family members and friends, she is going to be greatly missed.

Lynn was loved by everyone that knew her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a kind heart but don’t ever make her mad because you would really get it.

She loved to cook and host many suppers for everyone she loved and a better meal was had by none. Lynn made a flapper pie that nobody could touch. She had an open door policy that was just another testament to her kind and loving heart. A Celebration of Lynn’s Life will take place on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina SK. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Regina Humane Society.
