Obituary of Patricia Tapaquon

Patricia Tapaquon, a loving mother and wife, made her way to the Spirit world peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the age of 52 years. She was predeceased by Lena (grandmother), Bernadette (mother), Bernard (uncle), Jana (sister), and Jheremie (godson). Patricia is survived by her husband Garfield and her children, Michael, Sidney (grandson, Lorenzo), Taneisha, Aiyeesha (son-in-law, Brandon), Shamarie (grandchildren, Jervahn and Jaida). Patricia (Spider Woman) was born on May 22, 1970, in Montmartre, Saskatchewan. She was an incredibly selfless, intelligent, hardworking, and extremely generous woman. The time and care that she put into helping the ones she loved was a quality that will be cherished. Patricia spent the majority of her life raising her children and once they were old enough she found joy in working as a Client Service Representative for well over 10 years. She excelled at everything she did and took pride in herself in the most humble way. She could light up any room and restore hope in those who felt lost, thanks to her love of God. Patricia’s love for music has inspired all of her children and those around her, her cooking and hospitality made for excellent company, her humour was unmatched, and her prayers were full of healing. Her family is grateful for those who took the time to help care for her and for the excellent work of those at the University of Alberta Hospital who cared for her over the past two months. Traditional wake will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Family Centre on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Carry the Kettle First Nation at the middle cemetery.
