CLARK, William Ray

Ray passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the age of 77.  He was predeceased by his parents Austin and Marjorie Clark; and his spouse of 48 years, Elaine Clark, who passed away in 2019.  Ray is survived by his son Michael Clark and his children Brendan and Aleissia; his son Dale (Gillian) Clark and his children Sophie and Max; and his brothers Jim and Don Clark in Arizona.

Ray was born and raised in San Diego, California with his two brothers and three older half-brothers; Bernie, Eddie, and Austin Jr.  He was drafted into the US Army in 1965 and assigned to the Army Security Agency in Alaska.  After completing his military obligation, Ray returned to San Diego and spent the next two years working, surfing, and playing pool.  Looking for a change, he decided to drive to Yorkton, Saskatchewan with two friends in 1969.  In Yorkton, he successfully sold a magazine subscription to his future wife, Elaine, and remained in Saskatchewan.  Ray worked for many years with Firestone Tire, Goodyear Tire, and Clarica/Sun Life Financial before retiring in 2010.  He always loved spending time with his family and friends and was known for his kindness and generosity to everyone he met.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne’s Parish, 1701 Cowan Crescent, Regina SK on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will be held at a later date in Wynyard, SK.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ray’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, Sk.
