Terry McIntyre

Obituary of Terry Marie McIntyre

The family of Terry McIntyre is saddened to announce her passing after a long, hard fight against Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease on April 1, 2023.

Terry was known by her family as Terrance, she grew up in Abernethy until 1981 when the family moved to Indian Head, SK. Throughout her life she worked as a waitress, cook, bartender, scaffolder, babysitter of many nieces and nephews and so much more. Terry loved to cook and was great at it. She was a kind, caring, honest person, who had a huge heart full of love to share, which she did freely. Terry’s goal in life was to heIp people and make this a better world. She took people in, and helped whomever she could. Terry gave gifts from her heart, anything she had she was willing to share. She never had children of her own, but she “adopted" many along the way and treated all her nieces and nephews as though they were her own. They will always hold dear the memories of her often babysitting them. Terry was a people person with an infectious laugh, great personality, plenty of spunk, and humor to boot. She could talk for hours, which she did on many an occasion, although it never felt like it because she was a great and very entertaining conversationalist. Time stood still as you enjoyed her company and what great company she was.

Terry was a strong-willed person, she lived her life that way and fought to the end with that will. She was a great reader of people and understood life through the eyes of others because she was full of empathy and understanding. Terry was such a kind soul, and she will be missed so much by those that loved her. There were many things she loved in this life like butterflies and dolphins, but most important to her – her people.

Terry is remembered by her family: parents, Charles Gosselin and Florence McIntyre; Elizabeth (Lorne) Bonter and her children, Jaime Parks and Candice Wentzell; Debbie McIntyre (Rod) and her children, Dallas McIntyre and Mathew Storry; Charles McIntyre and his daughter, Natasha Ross; Jeff (Jackie) Gosselin and his children, Logan, Leighton, Landon and Darian Gosselin; as well as Donna's children, Chris Mcintrye, Brooke Penner and Scott Mclnnis. Terry was predeceased by her grandparents, Eva (Bob) Notschaele; Henry Racette; Jeanette Gosselin and Modeste (John) Gosselin; as well as her sister, Donna Lee Bernaski; and her nephew Brett McInnis. Terry is survived by many loved ones who will miss her immensely, especially her long-time best friend, Melanie McNaughton Hayden and cousin Jessica Gosselin. Both stayed with Terry and the family until the very end, never leaving her side. A special thank you and much appreciation to the two of you for that.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Lung Association, 885 Meadowlands Drive, Suite 502 Ottawa ON K2C 3N2 in Terry’s name.

Terry’s Celebration of Life will be at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave, Regina, SK on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 10:00AM. Private Interment will follow at a later date.

Honorary Pallbearers are Chris McIntyre, Scott McInnis, Jaime Parks, Dallas McIntyre, Candice Wentzell, Logan Gosselin, Leighton Gosselin, Mathew Storry, Landon Gosselin and Darian Gosselin.
