Obituary of Karen Lee-Ann Mills

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of the beautiful Karen Lee-Ann Mills, her loved ones called her home on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at the age of 48 years.

Karen was born on April 25, 1974.

Predeceased by her husband Roy Nateweyes; mother and father, Jerry Coverchuck and Diane Mills; adopted mother and father, Mary and Sam McKenzie and their descendants; and her soul sisters, Sharon, Donna, Jackie, and Judy.

She is survived by her children, Dakota, Creeanne (Jordan), Montana (Shania), Soren, and Asia (Daylen); grandchildren, Noah, Alishia, Winston, Fenix, and Carver; Roy’s parents, Shirley and Eddie Knight; as well as numerous family and friends. 

Karen loved loud music and dancing. She loved to be a gypsy, always on the go, everywhere she went, and connected with people on a soul level. Many of these people she lost over the years and always held them and their families close to her heart. Karen always left a piece of herself with people to hold onto with many memories sharing laughter and stories over a home cooked meal she prepared with love and joy. Her radiant laughter, magnetic presence, and theatrical stories will be missed, as well as everything else she did.

She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and surviving brothers and sisters.

 A Wake will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. Memorial Service at Speers Family Centre on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.
