Obituary of Fin Mew Chow

1926 - 2023

The family of Fin Mew Chow is deeply saddened to announce his sudden passing on Monday, April 10, 2023 at the age of 96. He came to Canada from Kaiping, Guangdong, China in 1981 with his wife, Shu Kam Chow and their three younger children. His two older sons and their families moved to North America in the 1990s.

Fin Mew Chow was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He leaves a wonderful legacy behind and is survived by his five children, YongJi (Yin Zhen), Wing Toy (Shek Ho), Janet, Mike (Bessy) and Kevin (Pauline); eleven grandchildren, Hui Mei, Christina, Solana, Hok Mon, Allan, Tina (Cory), Jessy (Gordon), Denise (Jim), Cindy, Raymond and Ronny; and seven great-grandchildren, Tommy, Charles, Elise, Isabelle, Phoebe, Joey and Remy. 

Fin Mew was predeceased by his loving wife, Shu Kam and son-in-law, Ian On Ming.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. with interment at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 815 Assinboine Avenue East to follow.
