Obituary of Calvin Robert Howell

Calvin of Regina, Saskatchewan, passed away on April 13, 2023, at the age of 76. He was predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Doris; brothers Gordon, Gilbert, Leonard and sister Louise. Calvin is survived by his wife, Christel; daughter Kelly (Aaron), son Ryan (Stephanie); two precious grandchildren Everett and Emily; brothers Ron (Sylvia), Don (Kathie) and Greg; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calvin was a loving, dedicated husband to the love of his life, Christel, for over fifty years. He was fiercely proud of his children and was always a supportive father to Kelly and Ryan. Calvin embraced the role of grandfather wholeheartedly. He taught Everett and Emily many of the activities that brought him joy such as baking, fishing, golfing, and playing darts. Calvin was his family’s biggest cheerleader. His whistles of support were heard across many auditoriums.

Calvin could light up a room and left a lasting impression with everyone he met. To his friends and family, he was a storyteller and always had time for conversation and good food. Calvin will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
