Obituary of Trevor Reginald Cary

CARY, Trevor Reginald

JUNE 12, 1965 – APRIL 24, 2023

This Service is not being LIVESTREAMED

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our amazing Trevor Reginald Cary. Trev was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and grew up on the family farm west of Regina. He attended Lumsden High School until he was 16 when he joyfully left school to start work full-time in the family business, Cary’s Trenching & Trucking Ltd., which he continued to run until his passing. He had a passion for his motorhomes, Harley Davidsons, snowmobiles, being outside close to nature, and homemade buns.

Trev was predeceased by his parents Reg and Byrle and brother Wayne Cary. Leaving to honor his life are his siblings whom he adored – Joyce (Daryl) Brown, Judy (Norm) Matt, Tom (Shelda) Cary; his sisters-in-law Shirley Cary-Martin (Don Martin), Kathy (Kevin) Carlson and Laura Duncan; numerous nieces and nephews; his beloved in-laws, Gerry and Elaine Duncan; his business partner Dale (Judy) Hine and the entire Cary’s Trenching crew. Paramount in Trev’s life were his girls, Crystal (Graem) Law, Mae Cary (Jon Coons), Josi Cary (Brad Andretta), his grandchildren Owen, Zoe and Raen Law, and his sweetheart, Marny Duncan-Cary.

He was genuine, loyal, powerful and gentle. His integrity was beyond measure, as was his goofiness and laughter. Trev had a zest for life and the room lit up when he walked in. If you met him, you’d never forget him.

A Celebration of Trev’s life will be held at the Lumsden Centennial Hall, 40 - 3rd Avenue, Lumsden, SK, on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, pay it forward and brighten someone’s day.
