Obituary of Janelle Anne Obey

OBEY, Janelle Ann

1979 – 2023

The family of Janelle Anne Obey of Piapot First Nation, born Dec. 10, 1978, are saddened to announce her unexpected passing at the early age of 44 years. 

Janelle was predeceased by her grandfathers Arthur Obey and Ivan Obey; mother Janet Obey and father Keith Cote.

Janelle is survived by her partner Donavon Ironstar; children Montana, and Tyrese Obey; granddaughter Honesty; siblings Debbie (Sarain), Jeremy (Judy), Klyne, Kingsly, Alana, Josh, Tanya, Kelly, Mary (Ed) Cote, Jamie Gaddie, Ethan, Kyle and Al; Kukum Sylvia Obey; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.  Janelle not only had an infectious smile, but was a loving mother, sister, aunt and grandmother.

Wake will be held Thursday May 11, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at the Piapot First Nation Band Hall.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday May 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Piapot First Nation Band Hall.
