Obituary of Bertha Cecelia Hager

1928 – 2023

Bertha Cecelia Hager passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at the age of 94 years. She was born September 12, 1928, one of 14 children, born to Johannes and Anna Maria Hager.

Bertha was very devoted to her work, working at Safeway for many years. She would advertise in the Leader-Post to get knitting orders from people, as she loved to knit, and made many treasures for her family and friends. Bertha enjoyed going out and helping at her dear friend Carl’s farm, as he was very important to her.

Bertha was predeceased by her parents, Johannes, and Anna Marie Hager; sisters, Eleanora (Leo), Eugenia (Anton), Mary, Rosalia (Peter);  brothers, Anton (Elsa), Joseph (Herta), John, George, Fred and Christian (Celine) and brother-in-law Eugene.

She is survived by her sisters, Veronica, Anna and Theresia; sister-in-law Elna; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Prayer Service will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will take place at Little Flower Parish, 420 College Avenue, Regina, SK on July 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.
