I had the pleasure of working with Jack in Tourism in the early 70’s. A and talented designer, Jack was loved and respected by those who had the privilege of working with him. Crusty at times but he didn’t do a very good job of hiding that good heart that beat below the surface. Rest easy friend!!

I met Jack in 1982 at Tourism Saskatchewan. I loved that he would "blame" me for all the people at Tourism now starring at their computers. My favorite memory was the incredible light weight outhouse that Jack built for Waskimo. It was gorgeous and on skis that we hot waxed, the Tourism team was so proud to push that beauty.
Rest in peace, time to join Carol!

Our condolences to you Neil, Ian, Sharon and families of Jack's passing. He is leaving behind so many wonderful memories, especially for Garry who along with Todd had many eventful fishing trips at Besnard Lake at Camp #24. There were great discussions around the campfire plus a couple drinks of Scotch/C.C.! He will be in our thoughts and prayers. Love you.

Sharon, I am so sorry to hear the sad news of your dad’s passing. He was a lovely man and I always enjoyed chatting with him at Bazaart or on occasion, stopping at your parents’ camp on route to our cabin. While your mom handed out full size chocolate bars to our kids, your dad showed them his squirrel feeder, designed by him to make the squirrel go through all sorts of hoops before it actually snagged the peanut.
The Besnard inspired stained glass pine tree he made so many years ago continues to give pleasure to our family and although it’s been a few years since we saw your dad, I know when we pass by his camp on our way to the dock, we’ll be reminded of a special creative gentle man who loved the North.
I am so sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with you and your family. Take care

Neil, Ian, Sharon and families - I was heartbroken to hear of Jack's passing. We adored his visits out West both with Carol and after when travelling on his own wasn't his favorite thing to do. We looked forward to when he took over mum's kitchen and whipped up his famous Asian meal. He and dad used to hit the pool hall - when they could find one! He was a creative soul whether it be glass, inventions or writing Family Matters. I used to send him postage so he'd keep them coming! He will be sorely missed. Sending much love and light.

I have know this family since the day I was born. I will miss him dearly, I still remember building the shop and I was on the roof, he told me to be careful and showed me how to shingle. I will miss him sitting by the fire pit in the backyard and having a drink I. The afternoon as we discussed the world, and watch the birds migrate overhead.
Hugs and prayers to Neil, Ian and Sharon.

Sorry to hear about Jack’s passing. I knew Jack through his late brother-in Law, Bruce Vicq . Jack was always a talented visual artist and I still cherish an acrylic painting which he presented to me on my ordination to the priesthood over 50 years ago. My condolences to his children and extended family members. Fr. John Weckend

So sorry for your loss. It’s been years since I’ve seen Jack but I have great memories of his time at Industry and Commerce in the early ‘70s. He was a great storyteller who, I recall, had overcome a speech difficulty by sheer willpower. Among his many enthusiasms was singing in a barbershop quartet - a love of music he passed on to his talented daughter, Sharon.
