MACKENZIE, Doris Eleanor

1936 – 2023

Ellie, late of Regina, SK passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the age of 87 years. She was predeceased by parents Perl and Mildred Cain; son Dale Mackenzie; siblings James, Lillian, Boyd, David, and Sharon. Ellie will be greatly missed by her daughter Sandra (Eric) Zaryski; daughter-in-law Lorraine Mackenzie; siblings Roy (Ann), Maryan, Allan (Alice), Dennis (Cheryl), John (Deb); along with ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends. Ellie grew up in Meadow Lake, SK and eventually moved to Bethune, where she met her husband Andy, and they were married in 1956. In 1991, they made their way to Breton, AB where they continued their lives until Andy’s passing in 1998. Ellie then moved to Regina, to be close to her grandchildren. Her greatest joys in life were golfing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Come and Go Celebration of Life will be held at Comfort Suites Hotel, 4300 Diefenbaker Drive, Regina, SK. on Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. A private family graveside burial will be held.
