Mary was born in Indian Head, SK on Sunday, June 16, 1925, to Justin Harvey and Maude Josephine (Beach) McCorkindale. After 97 wonderful years well lived, she passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. Mary was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 60 years Donald James MacIntosh; two brothers, James McCorkindale (Eva) and Donald H. McCorkindale; two sisters, Elizabeth Furman (Frank) and Margaret McPhee (Archibald); nephews, Harvey McCorkindale Jr and Alan McPhee; brother-in-law Sqn. Leader H.D. Thomas; Don’s parents James and Ruby MacIntosh; brothers-in-law, Doug (Wyn) and Ken (Rose); and sisters-in-law, Jean (Lorne) Atchison and Peggy (Boyd) Rodda.

She is survived by her sister Mrs. H.D. Thomas (Jean) of Regina; her daughter, best friend, and devoted caregiver Donna of Regina; her dearly loved son Robert and his wife and partner Theresa of Powell River, BC; Donna’s daughter Michelle Sweitzer and sons Jeffery Sweitzer of Regina and Craig Sweitzer, his wife Erica and their daughter Chloe – Mary’s treasured great granddaughter, of Kyle Texas; her brother-in-law Dr. James MacIntosh; and sister-in-law Vivian; and their extended family to whom she had become very close and were very dear to her.

Mary felt truly blessed to have shared the lives of so many dearly loved nephews and nieces and their families and hoped that they would remember all the good times shared. Our thanks to the excellent paramedics and the kind and compassionate doctors and nurses in the General Hospital ED who cared for her in her final hours and to Dean Mike Sinclair whose presence at her bedside brought peace, comfort, and strength to Mary and to family at her bedside.

A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral Church, 1861 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK on Tuesday, August 2, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with the Dean, the Very Reverend Michael Sinclair officiating.
