Hi I am Cheryl the foot nurse for royal oaks . Honestly shocked and deeply saddened by your moms passing… We always had so much fun.. her humour was so much fun .. I always said to her if I wanted a mom it would be her ! I will truly miss her and I extend my sympathy to all the family .. I will see her Again that I know . An amazing woman whom I take great respect from . My heart is with you all ❤️

Our deepest sympathies to the family of Shirley. My sister, Rose has been a resident at Royal Oaks Care Home for some time and we appreciated the kindness and care given to her that helped her thrive and feel safe. With Shirley and Lawrence at the helm, residents were given excellent care and accommodations. We especially enjoyed Shirley's openness, welcoming spirit and delightful sense of humor, and it was always a pleasure to visit and chat awhile. She will be greatly missed and always remembered.

I was so blessed to have my mom cared for at the Royal Oaks under the ownership of Shirley and Lawrence. Along with Shirley and her team they made moms final residence home. Mom passed away during COVID. As sad as it was to not be able to visit mom I was always confident mom was being well cared for. My sincere sympathy that Shirley had such a short time to enjoy her retirement. To her family, thank you for sharing your mom with so many families. We were truly blessed. Faye Wotherspoon

So very sorry to hear this news. Shirley was my saviour for a few years while she cared for my dear mother. I never ever worried about moms care while she was at Royal Oaks. Shirley was always on top of things and would call me if mom needed me to help her. I visited there regularly and was always greeted by the staff and my mom was usually very happy. It takes a great deal of patience to run a care home and Royal Oaks was one of the best, Shirley truly cared about her residents and we were very appreciative of her love. Condolences to her family, she was a gem. ❤️
