Obituary of James Gordon Forsyth

On June 10, 2023, James Forsyth, late of Regina Saskatchewan, passed away suddenly at the age of seventy-four. Jim is predeceased by his father Fred and mother Elizabeth. He will be missed and remembered by his sister Darlene Ruth of Leamington, ON; Niece Lorie Ruth of Ottawa, ON and her children Kyra and Kacie; Tania Ruth of Leamington, ON, and her children Kaden and Koby. Jim was born and raised in Regina and made Regina his home for his entire life. He belonged to the Regina Elks number nine Lodge for thirty years. Jim liked to volunteer for the Elk fundraising events and to help in the kitchen for monthly Sunday morning breakfasts where he cooked scrambled eggs for approximately a hundred people. He retired after thirty years with Canada Postal Services as a front counter mail clerk. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dale and Charlotte Strandlund and Eugene Wilson for their support and friendship during this exceedingly difficult time. At Jim’s request there will be no funeral; his remains will be laid to rest with his mother at Regina Memorial Gardens.
