1974 – 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of Janelle Hoos announces her passing on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
Janelle is survived by her husband, Aaron Hoos; her parents, Norm and Joan Dibben; her in-laws, Dieter and Jo Hoos; her brothers, Jonathan and Jeffrey (Cecilia); her sister-in-law, Rebekah (Adam); her nieces, Mikayla and Desirae (Brian); her nephews, Parker (Elizabeth), Darius, and Callum; and her grand-nieces, Avi and Lillian.
Janelle was born in Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton AB, on October 29, 1974. Her family ministered in churches throughout Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. She graduated with a Bachelor of Religious Education (Honours) from Canadian Bible College, Regina SK, and married Aaron Hoos. The two of them moved for jobs and adventures to Kenora ON in 2001, then to Winnipeg MB in 2004, and then back to Regina SK in 2016.
During her career, Janelle was a Director of Children's Ministry at Transcona Alliance Church, Winnipeg MB, and later founded WellEquippedVolunteer.com through which she was an author, speaker, and college lecturer on the topic of children's ministry.
Janelle loved travel, puzzles, tea, and 80's music. She is best known for her love of books, and she created a YouTube channel called "Too Fond of Books" where she shared her love of reading with the world.
A Service will be held at Westhill Park Baptist Church, 8025 Sherwood Dr, Regina SK, on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow. Livestreaming is available. A private interment of her ashes will take place at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Pasqua Hospital and the Allan Blair Cancer Centre for their care.

Janelle was a bright light to all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.
