Obituary of Ruth Mary Brodt
Ruth Brodt(nee Sauer) January 28, 1934- July 5, 2023
On July 5th Heaven gained the most beautiful angel, our world stood still and turned grey as your beautiful soul was carried by the angels to Heaven.
Ruth Brodt (Sauer) was born January 28, 1934, to Jacob Sauer and Johanna Wohlgemut, she grew up in the Edenwold area most of her life and then settled down with her husband Reinhart (Ron) Brodt on the family farm in Zehner.
She worked at the Regina General Hospital in the kitchen for several years, before deciding to stay home on the farm, where she kept busy with her four children and other odd farm jobs.
She lost her husband Ron in 2000 and lived on the family farm until she built herself a house and moved to Regina in 2004. She enjoyed life, having visits with friends and her family get-togethers, where she would cook enough food for an army, and you were sure to get leftovers to take home. She always made sure to have a good vodka and water during celebrations. She enjoyed baking, doing word searches, she loved to go and watch her grandchildren and great-grandchildren activities whenever she could, and going on bus trips to her favourite casinos. These trips were usually with her friends and her children on the bus and they had so much fun.
Ruth is preceded by her parents, her husband Ron, and her four sisters and three brothers. She is survived by; Son Glenn (Lorianne) their children Carla Brodt, and Kimberly Duncalfe (Mike) and their children Isla and Hayden; Son Lloyd (Betty) their children Jody Brodt (Clint) and their child Mikayla, and Lisa Brodt; Daughter Marcia Manz (Don) and their children Marc Manz (Kendra) and their children Brayden and Avah, Daric Manz (Lanjell) and their children Norah and Charlee; Son Brian (Monica) and their children Michael (Daylene), Dawn Tatham (Bob) and their children Ryker and Ainsley, and Tyler. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Myrl Sauer and numerous nieces and nephews.
She had a smile that would fill the room, a laugh that made you laugh, a heart of gold, and the best stories. She was a wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. And she will be dearly missed by all that knew her. We will always feel her presence in our hearts.
We would like to thank the staff of 3D and the ICU of the Pasqua Hospital, for the care they provided to Ruth while she was there.
Honoring Ruth's request there will be no funeral, but a private family service.
