I first met Sandy Morgan months before the 1991 provincial election. I had recently returned to Saskatchewan having completed graduate studies and having been asked to play a role on the Romanow Leaders’ Tour during the impending election.
I was asked to come to the legislature to meet with Sandy and arrived as a somewhat intimidated 25-year-old.
As those of you who knew Sandy well would expect, she greeted me with a warm smile and immediately put me at ease. I spent almost 5 years working with the Romanow government and during that time developed a strong relationship with Sandy.
She was such a warm and friendly person. She was thoughtful and she was fiercely loyal. She was also highly intelligent and forthright in expressing her thoughts. And she was highly accomplished.
Sandy was a key pillar underpinning many of the successes of the Romanow Government. She was also very much a key element of the glue that held together several of the diverse personalities that existed in the administration.
But perhaps most importantly she was a very good friend to many. I was fortunate to be able to call her my friend.

Sandy’s gift to the world was her brilliant and always active mind, her interest in everything, her absolute joy for life ( even when things became difficult), and her fierce loyalty to friends and family. Sandy was a dear, dear, kind, always supportive friend. She had such a strong, determined, always present spirit. It is impossible to believe she is no longer a phone call or a short visit away. I will miss her so very much. Thank you Sandy for giving me the gift of your beautiful friendship.

I was saddened to learn of Sandra's passing and wish to extend my condolences to her family. Most of my contact with her was in the five years I spent as an Opposition MLA from 1986-91. She always impressed me as an intelligent, hard working, well-informed, very competent and friendly person. We should hope that all the people we encounter in our lives have her qualities. Please accept my sincere sympathy.

We wish to express our sincere condolences to Sandra's family. She spoke of you often with love and pride, saying how fortunate she was to be blessed with such a close and loving family.
We will miss her ever present smile and quick wit. She was one of few who are able to keep the respect of both sides in negotiations and discussions, while holding to and explaining her position. Able, hard working and loyal, Sandra will be missed by her many friends.

We were so sad to hear of Sandra's passing. The world is certainly a lesser place without her. She was always such a lively and informed person, and as others have noted, committed to public service and to making the world a better place. We remember with fondness the many annual dinners we had with her, Cathy, Zack and Carol. There was always wonderful conversation about family, province, and nation, not to mention good food. She will be missed by all who worked with her and had her as a friend. To her family, please accept our deepest condolences.

We want to extend our deepest condolences to Sandra’s family. We know how much she loved you and how much you will miss her.
Sandra had a full life and she moved through it in quite a remarkable manner.
She was as comfortable having tea with the Queen as she was having coffee with a construction worker. Both individuals would have her full attention.
Her legacy is one of service and commitment, kindness and understanding, generosity and love.
We are so fortunate to have been part of her life. Now we must say farewell and let her rest.

Sandra was such a force. I don't like to speak of her in the past tense. The last time we had a visit was 2018, and I so treasure that time with her and with Tami. I was kind of in awe of her. She went to England for some kind of work, when she was in her twenties, and returned with a british accent -- very fancy! She was smart, accomplished, and generous. Family was very important to her, and she kept in touch with us through my mom, her aunt Edith. She must have had some very hard days, dealing with her MS and all the problems thereof. But she was always sunny, always grateful for her family's support -- Tami, Peggy, their children. And grateful too, for her many friends. such connections speak well of one's character. And she always made significant contributions to the well-being of those around her. A woman of integrity. Though we saw each other seldom, I miss her and hold her memory close. My condolensces to Tami, Peggy, and their families, and all those many friends in Sandra's life who maintained connection and relationship with her.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful, warm hearted, and amazingly capable woman with all of us in Legislative work. She is one of those folks who leaves you with a good feeling when you think of her. How did she fit it all in. I am happy to see she had a big and loving family of support and love. She will be missed but well remembered. Joanne Crofford, former MLA
