Bernard, I am so shocked and sorry to hear of this loss. Suzette was a great friend to me at the beginning of University back when we all lived in the Language Institute. We have been out of touch for a long while but I have so many great memories of that time. I am just so saddened to hear of this loss. You and your family will be in my prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Suzette at St. Martin's playgroup several years ago in Regina. She was a beautiful soul and a wonderful mother. Mon chemin a croisé celui de Suzette il y a de ça plusieurs années lorsque nous travaillions en tant qu'éducatrices. Je me souviendrai toujours de la chanson (Thumbs up!) que Suzette chantait avec les enfants lors de nos cercles de chansons. Les enfants regardaient Suzette avec leurs grands yeux pétillants et imitaient chaque geste que faisait Suzette. C'était magique! Je me compte privilégié d'avoir connu Suzette. Toujours souriante, le coeur sur la main. Chère Suzette, merci d'avoir laissé tes empreintes sur mon chemin. Au plaisir de se recroiser un jour, là où il n'y a plus de larme, plus de douleur, plus de mort et plus de deuil.

Nos sincères sympathie à vous Bernard, Nadège et Magalie et à toute la famille. Suzette était l'enseignante de mon fils Jaxon seulement pour les premières semaines scolaires de 2013. Jaxon dès la première journée de l'école rentrait à la maison tout content et souriant. Il aimait Suzette comme enseignante: ces jeux, sa gentillesse et sa manière d'être en classe. Même quand Suzette était malade elle continuait à nous demander comment allait les choses et les enfants. Suzette était une femme sympa! Que le Seigneur soit votre confort et votre espoir durant ce temps de grande pertre. Vous êtes dans nos prières.

It wasn't that long ago that I'd heard that sweet Suzie was ill. I've lain awake on these nights since I've heard of her passing, remembering the many times she spent at our house 'hanging out' with my daughter and various friends. I remember the laughter they always shared and what close friends they all had become. Suzette had the most infectious smile and laugh and her heart was always full of warmth and joy. I can't believe she's been taken so young and my heart is heavy for her families. She will be missed so deeply and by all whose lives she's touched. We were all so lucky to have met her. Cherish the memories and the laughter. Rest in peace sweet Suzette.

My deepest prayers and sympathies to you. I was a classmate of Suzette's since she was in first grade, and I was in second grade, and the way through 'til university.
It was a blessing to have her as a friend. I remember all the school dances, festivals, and class field trips we shared together, as the French Immersion classrooms learned together. I remember one particular 1950s dance we had in the church basement, and we went to Suzette's house to pick out our poodle skirts and costumes, what a fun night! I know Suzette's energy and zest for life will continue to touch her family and friends until we meet her again.

My sincere sympathies go out to Bernard, the girls and all the family over the loss of Suzette. She will be forever missed but not forgotten. Even though Suzette suffered greatly she was the strongest most loving and caring person I know. She battled such a horrible illness and left this world too soon. It pains me to know that I will longer see her face and beautiful smile as her cousin and dear friend, however, I am comforted in knowing she is in heaven with Roy no longer suffering.

J'ai eu le réel bonheur de côtoyer Suzette en 2009, lors de mon séjour d'1 an à Regina. Je travaillais à Gard'amis et j'ai passé de bons moments à jouer avec Nadège. Ce petit rayon de soleil était toujours souriante, comme sa belle et jeune maman. Je me suis rapidement prise d'affection pour Suzette. Loin de ma famille, je rencontrais pour la première fois une femme qui portait le même prénom que ma chère maman. Malgré mon retour au Québec, nous avons gardé contact via Facebook et elle ne manquait jamais une occasion de commenter les photos de ma petite fille. Une soie cette Suzette, un mot gentil, une attention particulière pour chacun. J'ai 37 ans, mère d'une petite de 4 ans. Sa disparition me chavire. À chacune des personnes touchées par le départ de la belle Suzette, j'offre mes plus sincères et profondes condoléances. Des pensées spéciales pour toi, Bernard et tes deux précieuses filles.

I was lucky enough to get an aunt Suzy who was three years younger than me, but she really fit more in that lovely place between little sister, close cousin, and genuine friend.
We spent a lot of time playing, growing up, and travelling together. I remember my uncle Bruno and me cutting the hair off her dolls and giving them Mr.T haircuts. I think she got even in university though when she lived at my house and accidently created a huge orange crush stain on my carpet! Into adulthood, I witnessed her become a wonderful wife and loving mother and our families continued to get together to visit and play.
She was always thinking of others and always seemed to have more time and heart to give. She was truly an angel and we were blessed to have her amongst us. Gracious in life, courageous through the battle, and brave in the surrender – she was a model for us all. May she ever live on in our hearts, memories, and the spirit of her two beautiful girls, Nadège & Magalie.

My sincere condolences on the loss of Suzette. I didn't know her as well as I would have liked, but every encounter I had with Suzette made me feel like I was instantly her friend (as I am sure everyone feels.) She brightened my day last summer when we always ended up at the same pool at the same time with our kids. Even when she was fighting her illness, she was messaging me asking what my daughter would like for her birthday. I had never seen her teach, but I know the world has lost an amazing educator. My sympathy to Bernard and her girls and to so many of my friends who are such close friends. I am sure everyone will remember Suzette's smile, her generosity, her spirit and her heart.
