Obituary of Roy Synk

ROY SYNK September 14, 1939 – August 6, 2014 Roy passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. He grew up in Windthorst, SK and moved to Regina where he married, worked and raised his family. Roy was married to Faith (née Churko) for close to 43 years. He was predeceased by parents, Allie and Katie Synk; brother George Synk; as well as Joe and Pauline Churko, Donald Churko, Michael Germain and Jody Churko. Roy is survived by his wife Faith; children, Rosalie Synk (Tim Guay), Luanne Synk, Bernie (Jon-Paul) Suwala, Joey (Niomi) Synk, and Donny Synk; grandchildren, Jenn, Cassi (Dom), Kurtis, Becca, Samm, Nic (Autumn), Joey, Polly, Andy, Madison, Thomas, Sara, Abby, and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Layton, Jayden and Alex; as well as numerous family members. Prayers will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. followed by the Funeral on Friday, August 15 at 11:00 a.m. both at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, 5020 Sherwood Drive, Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 204 – 3775 Pasqua Street, Regina, SK, S4S 6W8.
