Obituary of Joseph "Joe" Flaman

JOSEPH “JOE” FLAMAN Joe, late of Southey, SK passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his wife Eleanor in 2012. Joe is survived by his children, Jim (Zorina) of Toronto, ON, Matt (Rosemary) of Southey, SK, Tom (Susan) of Southey, SK, Ken of Regina, SK, Carol (Les) Kingston of Regina, SK, Mark (Ellie) of Regina, SK, Marie (Ross) MacIsaac of Courtenay, BC, Rob (Carolyn) of Southey, SK and Colleen (Mel) Herman of Weyburn, SK; 25 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Joe loved the farm and enjoyed the quiet. He loved to sing and played many instruments. Joe had a keen mind and enjoyed solving math problems. He watched Mass daily on television and regularly listened to radio talk shows. Joe enjoyed chatting with friends and family on the telephone. For many years he also enjoyed the companionship of his faithful dog, Nicky. Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Southey, SK on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Francis Plaparampil officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joe, may be made to Regina Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Road, Regina, SK, S4R 8P6.
