Obituary of Elizabeth Avice Roach

ELIZABETH AVICE ROACH September 2, 1917 – August 8, 2014 “Libby” passed away peacefully in the Regina General Hospital on Friday, August 8, 2014. With sadness in our hearts we say goodbye to the grandma we loved so well. A world traveller, Libby loved life and people and she talked of the many places she visited as a child and the wonderful times she had. Also a music teacher in the BC education system, Libby enjoyed her musical background. One of her great hobbies was tracking the Royal Family and was an expert in Royal lineage. Libby was also an active participant in the Victoria BC Goodwill Store. She was predeceased by her husband Alvin Roach; brother Norton Welch; stepson Les Roach; and step daughter-in-law Mary Roach. Libby is survived by her sister-in-law Martha Welch of Victoria, BC; niece Pamela Boudrault of Victoria, BC; nephew Dr. Gregory Welch of Victoria, BC; stepson C. Bill Roach of Saskatoon, SK; grandchildren, Don (Cleona) Roach of Winnipeg, MB, Bev (Dave) Parent of Saskatoon, SK and Bert (Marcie) Roach of Beaumont, AB; as well as a number of great and great-great grandchildren. Libby’s wish was to be cremated. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
