Obituary of Iola Thomas

IOLA THOMAS (née Berglund) Iola passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 with her son by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Ingwald and Mary Berglund; her brothers, Lavern and Edmund; her sister and very best friend Leona Preston; her husband Patrick; daughter Patricia, affectionately known as Bambi; and special sister-in-law Dorothy Thomas. She is survived by her son Lowle; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as pet kids, Murphy and Casey. In her early years, mom was a cosmetologist and then became a full-time mom. "The best mom in the whole wide world and a good cook too." She would prepare the best Sunday dinners for us, relatives and friends; roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, fruit and pumpkin pies were her specialty. Mom remained at home until her passing. She was very strong in faith and spirit, loved to dance and was a devoted mother who was always ready to lend a helping hand. She was a very kind, dignified woman with a quick wit, and full of fun and love that kept the home a very warm and happy one. I'll miss you mom. “I love you dearly."
