Obituary of Helen Emily Molnar

HELEN EMILY MOLNAR March 31, 1923 – August 30, 2014 Helen passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Helen was predeceased by her husband John; daughter-in-law Diania Molnar, grandson Kyle Schaffer in infancy, five sisters and one brother. She is survived by her children: Andy, Albert (Kathy), Hilda Silbernagel (Eric), Janet Fazakas (Albert) and Debbie Schaffer (Kelly); fourteen grandchildren: John Molnar (Virginia Palmer), Scott (Twyla) Molnar, Andrew (Connie) Molnar, Aaron Molnar, Ryan Molnar, Jason Molnar (Julie Beriault), Jon (Trisha) Silbernagel, Brandon (Lana) Silbernagel, Kirsten (Nathan) Kurjata, Matthew Fazakas (Brigitte Perillat), Riley Schaffer (Chrystal Bardal), Rae Lynn, R-Kel and R-Jay Schaffer; great grandchildren: Savannah and Cory Molnar, Dalton and Avryelle Molnar, Ainsley and Cailsey Molnar, Reed and Cole Silbernagel, Helena and Eberley Kurjata and one great granddaughter due in September; sister Elizabeth Nameth; and sister-in-law Alice Mate. Helen was born north of Cupar, Saskatchewan and lived in the Lestock district after her marriage in 1943. She moved to Regina in 1978 and purchased her condo in 1983. Helen had a deep faith and was a firm believer in the power of prayer. Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anne’s RC Church, 1701 Cowan Crescent, Regina, SK on Friday, September 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment in St. Elizabeth's Cemetery, Lestock, SK at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in memory of Helen to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279-3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, S7K 2H8 or to St. Anne’s R.C. Church Memorial Fund, 1701 Cowan Crescent, Regina, SK, S4S 4C4.
