Obituary of Harry Gardner

HARRY GARDNER Harry, late of Regina, SK passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the William Booth Special Care Home at the age of 100. He was born in Netherhill, SK on January 6, 1914. Harry was a very highly respected John Deere Agent in Canora for over 30 years. In 1940 he married Laura Jobb and they had one son Doug. In 1982 Harry and Laura moved to Regina. Later Harry moved to Qu'Appelle House where he appreciated the special care he received. He always enjoyed the frequent visits from his good friends Beth, Ken and Phyllis. Harry enjoyed fishing, curling, playing bridge and a good game of crib. He is survived by his son Doug (Janet) of High River, AB; granddaughters, Debra of High River, AB and Susan Curran (Jamie) of Sherwood Park, AB. He was very proud of his two great granddaughters, Kayleigh and Kennedi. Harry was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Christine; siblings, Fanny, Ruby, Ivan and Angus; and by his loving wife of 56 years, Laura. A Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, Sept 20, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. with Darrel Reine of Westminster United Church officiating. Interment in Regina Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Harry may be made to a charity of your choice.
