Obituary of Marjorie Kathleen Wight

MARJORIE KATHLEEN WIGHT Marjorie “Marj” Wight, late of Regina passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at the age of 86 Years. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years Lou; parents, Elizabeth and Samuel Wright; sisters, Gladys, Beatrice, Elsie and Bertha; and brother Victor. Marj is survived by her son Ron; daughter-in-law Susan Zerr; granddaughter Keely (Shaun); step-granddaughter Cassidy (Darren), step-great-grandchildren, Jayda and Joe; and numerous nieces and nephews. Marj was employed for most of her career at Sask Power where she worked her way up from a secretarial role to being the Administrative Manager for the coal division – an accomplishment she was always very proud of. Along with husband Lou, she held a season ticket and attended Rider games for almost 50 years. Marj had many close friends, a group of which she played Par 3 golf with for many years at the Lakeview Par 3 golf course. Marj and Lou were confirmed snowbirds spending over 25 winters in Palm Desert, California as well as trips to Bermuda, Jamaica, Cuba and Mexico. The family wishes to thank the staff of the In-patient Mental Health Services at the Regina General Hospital as well as Dr. Gbinigie and Dr. Muhammad for their compassion and care during Marj’s last few months. Flowers are gratefully declined.
