Obituary of Marlene Gladys Parisien

MARLENE GLADYS PARISIEN August 6, 1942 – September 29, 2014 Marlene passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 29, 2014 aftoer a battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her husband Jim; parents, George and Agnes Stanley; and her grandson Kelly. Marlene is survived by her loving family, son Trevor (Carol) and grandson Scott (Britney); son Brent (Rhonda); daughter Dana; son Kevin (Amanda) and granddaughters Victoria and Callie; son Steven (Azalea) and grandson Riel; son Clayton (Kim) and granddaughter Bailey; sisters, Eunice (Frank), Joan (Ernie) and Bev (Tony); brother Delbert; special friends, Cloe, Beatrice and Beth; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was a stay-at-home mom until her youngest child entered school. Marlene went back to University (SUNTEP) and achieved her Bachelor of Education in two years and ten months. She went on to teach for over 20 years and loved her profession. Marlene was very proud of her family and loved them dearly – she was their inspiration. Marlene was at her best when she was surrounded by her family. Marlene loved cooking family dinners and enjoyed a good glass of Beaujolais. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 100 Argyle Street, Regina, SK on Friday, October 3, 2014 at 10:00 am with Rev. John Baptist Okai, celebrant. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Marlene may be made to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 204 – 3775 Pasqua Street, Regina, SK, S4S 6W8.
