DALTON “PUNCH” PUNSHON, January 1, 1938 – September 30, 2014. Punch was born in Calgary, AB. He was predeceased by his parents Richard and Marion. Punch is survived by his loving wife Beverley; daughter Kelly (Mike Fugard) and grandchildren, Kirsten (Paul Barber) and Kaylen (Steve Schnarr); son Kevin (Lori) and grandchildren, Sarah and Jeff; son Kirby (Marcie) and granddog Annie; daughter Kayla (Donnie MacKay) and grandchildren, Makenzie, Lindsey and Parker. Our Dad Your most prized possession was our mom and you were so proud to tell us that. Mom was your high school sweetheart and love of your life. You were each other’s strength in times of adversity. We are proud to say your marriage to mom exemplified true love and commitment until the end. You were a gentle man, a passionate man, and a man that embodied the meaning of integrity. You had a zest for life that was contagious. Your entrepreneurial spirit was inspiring. You were the man behind Punchy’s Posys, which was truly forward thinking in the floral industry. One of your most enduring qualities was your sense of humour! Daily affirmations of positive thinking allowed you to be taken off of dialysis. We learned so many valuable lessons from you. You were always there to listen and helped guide our decisions to do the right thing. Your four kids were the lights of your life. Visiting Georgian Bay and spending time near the water with Kelly was special. Duck hunting, fishing, and wilderness adventures with Kevin were never missed on your calendar. You treasured your business and hockey interests with Kirby. And of course your weekly walks/shopping excursions with Kayla were full of fun and laughs. You showed genuine individual interest in each grandchild. They will treasure “Poppa” close to their hearts. Our Dad and Poppa was the “coolest” Dad and Poppa ever. He was a kid at heart. As a family we had fun at everything we did! Absolutely Everything! The name “Punch” was the perfect name for our Dad! He was a survivor and fighter until the end. He lived life his way. We love you Dad “Every Day is a New Day” - Punch Punshon (In Punch’s honour, his family is having a private picnic complete with Punchy dogs, Coke floats, butter tarts and chocolate chip cookies at a park on a beautiful day.)
