Obituary of Donald Frederick Fleischhaker

PHOTO DONALD FREDERICK FLEISCHHAKER Don passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October, 1, 2014 at the age of 70 years with his family by his side. Don was predeceased by his son Bradley Wayne, at birth; parents, Fritz and Teresa; his wife Linda’s parents, Hector and Jessie Moffatt; and his sister-in-law Hazel Moffatt. Don is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda; children, Darcy (Laura) Fleischhaker, Greg Fleischhaker, and Tammy (Scott) Boyle; grandchildren, Maegan Harty, Tyler and Nicole Boyle; great grandson Zephyr; brothers, David and Murray; brother-in-law John (Pat) Moffatt; sisters-in-law, Darlene and (Nick) Lussier, Jean Hess (Ed Mountstephen), and Starla (Ben) Grebinski and many nieces and nephews. Don was born on April 20, 1944 and was raised on the farm before moving to Regina where he then spent the remainder of his life. Don was a skilled mechanic and worked at, then later owned and operated, Norwest Service Station at 7th Avenue and Lewvan. Later in life Don enjoyed his job as a Commissionaire. Above all he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. The family would like to thank the staff of Unit 6F at the General Hospital for their kindness and compassion. Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Deacon Joe Lang officiating.
