Obituary of Brian William Lambert

BRIAN WILLIAM “BILL” LAMBERT It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brian William (Bill) Lambert. Bill was born on July 21, 1941 in Regina SK, the only child of Alice and Vern Lambert, and spent his mischievous childhood in Moose Jaw, SK. He attended the University of Saskatchewan where he obtained a degree in Engineering. After completing school, Bill set off to work with Sasktel in Regina, where he continued to rise within the company to position of VP Engineering, a position he held with pride and dedication. Bill loved the outdoors. He enjoyed being out at his cabin at Buffalo Pound Lake, where he could spend the days forever trying to get rid of weeds and sailing or canoeing on the lake. It was there that he lost his beloved (or ragged, as his family saw it) “genuine Gob hat” while swimming, a loss he would continue to lament over 20 years later. Bill suffered a stroke in 1991 that set him on a path with various complications to his health. Though the stroke took away some of his independence, his love of laughing and his pride and love for his family were undiminished. More recently, his passions were about ignoring advice against doing yardwork and fighting with the printer he used to run off photos of his grandchildren. Bill is survived by his wife, Georgina; his son, Michael; his daughter, Nicole (Emmet); and grandchildren Lillian, Alice and George. A private family service will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in his memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8.
