dear Shelley -
I am so sorry to learn that you and your vibrant family have lost Edith. Such lovely words to describe this remarkable woman in the obituary - indomitable spirit, sense of adventure and fun, brave, unconventional, loving and inspiring to all around her, not just her family. how wonderful for all of you that you had such a long, long time with Edith, and Edith had such a long, long time to be in this world. A life well lived and she will be deeply missed and always remembered. And, as for you, Shelley - not knowing your mother, still I suspect that the chestnut did not fall far from the tree in your case. I trust that Edith's celebration of life will be tinged with sorrow, but a celebration just the same.
