Obituary of Verna Doreen Tuer

VERNA DOREEN TUER 1931 – 2014 The family of Verna Doreen Tuer (nee Perkins) are saddened to announce her passing on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Edith (nee Larson) Perkins, sister Lenore Perkins, father-in-law William Tuer, mother-in-law Lizzie Belle (nee Lambie) Tuer, brothers-in-law, William and James Tuer, sister-in-law Elizabeth (nee Steele) Tuer and brother-in-law Herbert Sparrow. She leaves behind her husband of 61 years, Graham; children, Donna, Kathy Tokar, Allan (Diana) and Greg; grandchildren, Sarah (Stuart) Zacharias, Brock (Stephanie) Tokar, Tarik Tokar, Khas Tokar, Braun (Cloe Allard) Tuer, Dallas (Devan) Tuer, Carly Tuer and Cale Tuer-Treble; great-grandchildren, Madison, Chloe and Kurt Zacharias, Kailani Tokar and Hayden Nidesh. Verna will also be lovingly remembered by her sister Lois Sparrow and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in memory of Verna to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3 or to the Pasqua Hospital Palliative Care Unit 3A, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK S4T 1A5
