Obituary of Wayne Ekes

WAYNE EKES It is with great sadness that the family announce the sudden passing of Wayne on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the age of 61 years. He is welcomed into heaven by his father Rudy, mother Julia, nephew Josh Hoffart and Godmother Frieda Meisner. Wayne will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Amanda (Carlos); Grandchildren, Tyler and Kate; brothers, Mervin (Debra) and Ken; sisters, Jane (Murray), Sharon (Gord) and Debbie (Joe); Godson Jerett Hoffart, Godfather Bill Meisner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Wayne will be laid to rest surrounded by his family in a private ceremony at Regina Memorial Gardens on Saturday, November 15 prior to the Celebration of Life. A Celebration of Life will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wayne’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Southern Saskatchewan, 917 Albert Street, Regina, SK S4R 2P6.
