Obituary of Jim Herbert Trimble

Jim passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents William and Amelia and by his first wife Frances. Left to cherish his memory is wife Mervine; sons Patrick, Robert (Sharon) and Grant; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; as well as Mervine’s two children, five grandsons and four great-grandchildren. Jim had lots of love to give, for family and as well as in various volunteer roles. He was involved in the Winnipeg Freemasonry, Masonic Lodge and Regina WA WA Shriners where he played drums in the WA WA Pipes and Drums for over forty years. He dedicated his time to caring for infants and children at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre. Upon his retirement from General Motors after a thirty five year career, Jim was able to travel more and enjoyed European trips and U.S. destinations, including winter getaways to Hawaii every second year. Jim’s faith played a big role in his life. He completed general religious study courses through the University of Regina as part of the Qu’Appelle Diocese. He was involved in the Anglican Church all of his life, attending St. Luke’s in Regina where he served in many roles, such as the crucifer and server. His faith continued during his time at Wascana Rehabilitation Center where he attended church on Thursdays and benefited from the Spiritual Care Program. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 3233 Argyle Rd, Regina, SK on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Wapella Cemetery.
