Obituary of Genevieve Jennings

Genevieve (nee Evans) died peacefully at the Regina General Hospital on November 12, 2014 at the age of 99 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Henry in 1995, brother, Pryse Evans and her sister, Mary Rowe. She is survived by her loving sons, Jim and Bill (Loretta), both of Regina. Genevieve was born on the family homestead located southwest of Dilke. Prior to her marriage, she taught school in various one room schoolhouses in Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Genevieve thrived at being a homemaker and took great pride in raising her two boys. She was a very caring, kind and generous person who enjoyed to laugh. People often commented on her beautiful smile. She spent many enjoyable hours tending to her house plants, flower beds and garden. Genevieve was happiest when in the presence of her family. She will be dearly missed. In honouring her wishes, a Private Graveside Service will be held. The family thanks all of the staff on Unit 5E at the Regina General Hospital for the compassionate care provided to our Mom. Flowers gratefully declined. To leave an online message of condolence.
