Obituary of Richard Roman

Richard Ronald Roman passed away unexpectedly in his sleep at his residence in Red Deer, Alberta, Sunday November 9th, 2014.He was born September 12, 1958 in Regina, SK, a son for Wilf and Marie Roman and brother for Donna and Nancy. He spent his growing up years in Moose Jaw, where neighbourhood kids played together outside, where the link between home, school and church was the norm, where occasions were celebrated with extended family and where the snow drifted to the roof top one winter. His career in the hospitality industry took him from Regina to Red Deer, Edmonton and back again. A fan of all sports, he followed the Edmonton Oilers and, of course, the Saskatchewan Roughriders. He had a number of health challenges over the years and he appreciated the support of his immediate family and his cousins Ron and Don. He was pre-deceased by his Dad (1997). He is survived by his children, Stephanie and Ryan; his Mom, Marie Roman (Regina); his sisters, Donna Strauss and family (Prince Albert), Nancy Garrett-Petts (Will) and family (Kamloops BC), cousins and many family friends.In accordance with his wishes, there will not be a funeral. A gathering will be held at a future date.
