Obituary of Owen Henry Kay

OWEN HENRY KAY Kahkehsīwāte Pīyesiw "Loud Thunderbird" Owen passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 17th, 2014 at the age of 38 years. He leaves to mourn his loving family: partner Dawn Pratt, and their daughters Charley and Cianna, and former partner Beverly Fullerton and their children Trenton and Bryanna, mother Roxanne (Kirk) Delorme, father Louis Oakes, grandmother Edna Kay, brother Peter Desjarlais, sister Juanita (George) Desjarlais, and siblings, as well as many loving extended family members and friends. Owen will be missed by Dawn’s parents Yvonne and Charles Pratt and Aunt Cynthia Kay. He was predeceased by grandmother Mary Oakes and grandfather Gordon Oakes. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Friday, November 21st, 2014 at 1:00 p.m., followed by a Wake at the Asiniw Kisik Education Centre, Kawacatoose First Nation at 4:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Kawacatoose First Nation on Saturday, November 22 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Kawacatoose North Cemetery.
