Obituary of Doreen Elmira Hetterley

DOREEN HETTERLEY (NEE TURNER) On Tuesday, November 18, 2014, Doreen Hetterley (nee Turner) passed away suddenly at the age of 79 years. She will be deeply missed by her children, Sandi Powell (Duane Wiste), Sheryl McEachern (Tim) and Brent Hetterley (Lisa); grandchildren, Erin Powell (Doug Dahl), Brian McEachern (Sheri), Jason Powell (Crystal), Kevin McEachern (Rachael), David Hetterley, Greg Hetterley and Mark Hetterley; great-grandchildren, James Dahl, Ewan McEachern, Annali McEachern, Matthew McEachern, Gregory McEachern and Bryden Dahl; sister Lorraine Ksonzena; sister-in-law Gladys Klassen; many nieces and nephews; as well as special friends Wilf Ortman and Josie Loibl. Doreen was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Howard; parents, Ernest and Dorothy Turner; son-in-law Tim Powell; father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Mary Hetterley; sister and brother-in-law Ella and Warren Haacke; brother-in-law Joe Ksonzena; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Clarence and Trudy Hetterly; and brother-in-law John Klassen. She lived life fully with dignity and grace. She enjoyed travelling to many places in the USA and Canada. Doreen loved spending time with her grandchildren and adored each of her great-grandchildren. A celebration of Doreen’s life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Ron Nagel officiating.
