Obituary of Katherine Schaaf

KATHERINE (KAY) SCHAAF (nee Weichel) Kay passed away peacefully with family at her side on Friday, November 21, 2014 at the age of 91 years. Kay is lovingly remembered by her family: son Ken (Geryl) Schaaf; daughters, Cathy (Kevin Sawatzky) Jorgensen and Lynn (Luke) Tomaschefski; daughter-in-law Sharon Schaaf; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister Frances (Tony) Moser; sister-in-law Cecilé Weichel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Tony; son Don; brothers, Peter and Wendel; sisters, Eugenia, Madeline, Irene, Barbara and Elizabeth. Prayers will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Friday, November 28, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass and Celebration of Life at Christ the King R. C. Church, 3239 Garnet Street on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Kay’s memory, to a charity of your choice.
