Obituary of Wilhelm Schnell

WILHELM “Willi” SCHNELL With great sadness the family of Wilhelm Schnell announce his passing on Monday, December 8, 2014 at the age of 88 years. Willi was predeceased by his cherished wife of 61 years, Lisa; father Stefan Schnell and mother Katharina Schnell (as well as her second husband Henry Sabasch); sisters Phillipina and Maria (and their husbands) and brother Christian. He is survived by his children Monica, Henry (Debbie), Doris (John Kuffner) and Eric (Denise); grandchildren Corey, Nicole (Peter), Justin, Matthew (Sarah), Chelsey, Jason (Kristin), Hayley, Sydney, and Lucas; ten great-grandchildren and extended family in Saskatchewan and Germany. Willi was born in Bessarabia. He and Lisa moved to Saskatchewan to build a life together. Willi excelled at his craft of cabinet making and he believed in working hard and doing things right. He used those qualities and his talent to build a successful business to support his family. Willi and Lisa worked together to raise a family who loved them dearly. A Celebration of Willi’s Life will be held at New Hope Lutheran Church, 370 McIntosh Street North, Regina SK on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Klassen, Dr. Ficzycz, Dr. Hunter and Dr. Rasmussen as well as the staff of Regina Qu'Appelle Home Care and Parkside Extendicare for their wonderful care of Willi over the years.
