How does one put the good memories of 65 years of being connected to June into a paragraph?
This fine Lady, our Aunt June, our Great Aunt June, was from day one with each of us such a steady flow of what is positive, influential and inspiring.
Her encouragement, her advice, her thoughtfulness, unselfishness…I could go on but I would need to dig into a thesaurus to come up with better adjectives.
June had a "give more than what you get" approach to everything so common in her daily endeavours that have hopefully rubbed off on some of us.
The memories that stick with us are not ones of a gigantic nature nor the material things...it is the tiny things. Short clips in the movie reel of one's life, all of them good and lots of them!
If there is a utopia in the solar system for "Great Aunts-Great Ladies" then surely she is residing there now…
As is her wish, we will be celebrating her life, and our lives with her, at a gathering Friday night in St. Andrews.
